As 2008 draws to an end, we sometimes tend to feel reflective or nostalgic about certain things. Many things have occured this year: From the devasting earthquakes in Sichuan, economic recessions, senseless terrorist attacks in Mumbai , the death of one of the greatest designers Yves Saint Laurent to the wonderful ochestrated Beijing Olympics and the newly elected US President Obama....We are truly living in times of history.

Though grandchild is merely about fashion and fun, we would like to take this opportunity to remember those who are less fortunate and the suffering. We hope 2009 can be a better year for those people.

More importantly, we would like to wish everyone who read this blog a merry christmas and a happy, prosperous and safe new year ahead.

We look forward to bring in more nice clothes and fun to your lives.

Many of you have patronise, compliment and provide suggestions on grandchild. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you and hope to seek your continue support and love.

One of the more common suggestions that came up was to create a blog that provides visual updates so that you can be tantalised at the comfort of your home, office, school or cafes before making your trip here.

This blog will therefore serve that purpose. We will keep you posted on the latest collection and relevant news with regards to grandchild.

grandchild:the story

grandchild was established in memory of my late grandfather. He was a skilled tailor in the 1930s. By making affordable and nice clothes, he made a lot of people happy in his home town. From his humble beginnings, he managed to raise a family and provide a lot of warmth and love to the people around him. I was one of them.....

To follow his rhetoric, grandchild strives to provide fun and life through fashion and lifestyle products.

Also to take its literal meaning of the words "grand" and "child", all of us wants to look impressive and nice in our own ways while keeping the "child" within ourselves so that life wouldn't be too serious.
